Carved out of a single piece of lemonade berry wood, this sculpture features a boa wrapped around a branch. The unique section of wood that inspired this boa had features that suggested a snake’s coils. Also, beneath the weathered surface layer was a beautiful reddish-orange wood that adds an ominous eeriness to the snake. Finally, Anticipation captures the elegant curves as well as the tension of a boa’s body just before it strikes.
